Dried grapes are called raisins. As much as there are different types of grapes, it is natural that this variety can also be found in raisins.

In a general classification, the most commonly used raisins are divided into 2 to 3 categories:

1- Green raisins that are consumed as nuts.
2- Black or brown raisins, which are known as pilou raisins because of their use in some dishes such as lentils.
Of course, there is a third category of raisins. which is used as nuts like green raisins and is the result of drying Shahani grapes. This raisin is called a raisin.
There are different ways to turn grapes into raisins, but the best and most useful raisin is a grape that has been dried in the open air and exposed to sunlight or shade instead of using chemicals and sulfur. In addition to being used in some dishes and salads, pilaf raisins are also used as a flavoring agent in sweets, cakes and desserts.
